Statement of Faith

The members of the church believe:

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God infallible in its original writings. 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21

THE GOD HEAD

We believe in the one everlasting eternal God, infinite in power, Holy in Native, attributes, and purpose, in His absolute indivisible deity. That this one True God has revered Himself and father in creation; through his son in redemption and as the Holy Spirit by Emanation. 1 Cor. 8:6, Eph. 4:6, 2 Cor 5.19, and Joel 2:28.

THE SON OF GOD

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. In the fullness of time God sent forth His Son made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law. Gal. 4: 4-5. In Him dwelled the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Col. 2:9. That God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Him. 2 Cor 5:19. That no man can come unto the Father but by and through the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood. That the son of God is the only hope of the world. The man Christ Jesus is mediator between God and Man. 1 Tim. 2:5.

THE FALL OF MAN

We believe that in the beginning God created man innocent, pure and holy, but through the sin of disobedience, Adam fell, hence by one man's disobediences sin entered into the world. Gen 1:27, Rom 5:12.

REPENTANCE

We believe in repentance to God, confessing ourselves as sinners, receiving forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood which made atonement for sin, witnessed by a definite change from sin to righteousness. Acts. 17:30, 11:18, 2:38-39.

OUR REDEMPTION

We believe that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was made sin for us, dying in our form and stead rising again from the dead, ascending with His glorified body to the right hand of God, and by believing in the finished work, we are justified before God. Cleansed of all our sins and redeemed from the curse of the law. John 3:3; Rom. 5:1: Acts. 2 Cor. 5:14-21: Gal. 2; 16 3:13; 1Pat. 1:18-19; Tit. 2:14; Rev. 16:15-16.

WATER BAPTISM

We believe that water baptism (immersion) is for all believers and should be administered in the Name of our LORD JESUSE CHRIST according to Acts. 2:38; 10:48; 19:5, fulfilling St. Matthew. 28:19 and St Mark. 16:15-16.

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the enduement of power for Christian service. That the baptism is for all believers who seek and ask for the same. That the baptism is a distinct, separate, and subsequent experience to conversion. Matt, 3:11; Luke, 24:49, 53; Acts. 1:4-18; Luke. 11:13.

SPEAKING IN TONGUES

We believe in speaking in Tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. Acts. 2:4; Mark. 16:17; Acts. 10:44-46; 19:6.

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that Healing is divinely provided for all in the atonement. That God is still the Healer of His people, and that the Church should recognise and practise this ministry as directed by the Lord Himself and practises by His Apostles. Psalm.103:3; Isa. 53:4:5; Matt. 8:17; James. 5:4-16; 1 pet. 2:24; Mark. 16:18; Ex. 15: 26; Heb. 13:8.

THE LORD'S SUPPER (communion)

We believe that all followers of Christ should partake of the Communion or Lord's Supper, in remembrance of His death until he comes again, Luke. 22:17-20; 1Cor. 11:23-34.

WASHING OF THE SAINTS FEET (Serving others as Christ did)

We believe in and practise feet washing as the Lord taught us, showing our love towards each other and serving others. Love in deed and not in tongue. St. John. 13:2-17; 1 Tim. 5:9-10.

TITHING AND OFFERING

We believe tithing is God's financial plan to provide for His work, and has been since Abraham. Tithing came with faith under Abraham; Moses law enjoined it, and Israel practised it when she was right with God; Jesus endorsed it. Matt. 23:23; and Paul said to lie by in store as God had prospered you. Gen. 14:18-20; 28:20-22; Mal 3:10; Luke. 11: 42; 1 Cor. 9:6-9; 16:2; Heb. 7:1-21.

THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

We believe that the nine (9) gifts of the Spirit should be manifested in the Church today, and that all spirit-filled believers should have some manifestation of one or more of these gifts for the edification and up building of the Church. 1 Cor. 12:7-11; 14:1.

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

We believe that the Spirit-filled believers will produce the nine fruits of the spirit in their lives, and that this is the only true evidence of a spirit-filled life. Gal. 5:22-23; 1 John 2:6; 1 Pet. 1:16; Tit. 2:11; 2 Cor. 7:1.

RESITITUTION

We believe that when one is converted he should make right that which is wrong. If anything was taken or anyone was hurt by you, you should make restitution where possible. Matt 3:8; Luke. 19:8-9.

STONG DRINK AND LIQUOR

We believe that all should fully abstain from all liquor and strong drink. Pro 20:1; 20:29-32; Isa. 28:7; 1 Cor 5:11; 6:10; Gal 5:21.

USE OF TOBACCO

We are against the use of tobacco in any form, Opium, Morphine, or any such drugs. Isa. 55:2; 1 Cor. 10:31-32; 2 Cor. 7:1; Eph. 5:3-8; James. 1:21.

SOCIETIES OF BONDS AND SECRETS

We are against any member of the Church to become a part of any Lodge or any Secret Society.

AGAINST MEMBERS SWEARING

Against members swearing at any time or place. Matt. 5:34; James. 5:12.

RESURRECTION

ETERNAL LIFE FOR THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF MEN

Matt. 25:46; Luke. 18:30; John. 10:28; Rom. 6:22; 1 John. 5:11-13.

ETERNAL PUNISHMENT FOR THE WICKED

We believe that there is neither Liberation nor annihilation for the wicked. Matt. 25:41-46; Mark. 3:29; 2 Thess. 1:8-9; Rev. 20:10-15; 21:8.

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

We believe that Jesus is coming again in person just as He went away. This was clearly set forth by the Lord Jesus Himself and was preached and taught in the early Church by the Apostles. Hence the children of God today are looking forward to the glorious event. Acts. 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:51-52.

We believe there shall be a great tribulation which shall be followed by a better day on earth, and that for a thousand (1,000) years there shall be peace on earth good will towards men. Isa. 65:17-25; Dan. 7:27; Hab. 2:14; Rom. 11:25-27: Rev. 20:1-5.

REWARDS

We believe the Bible clearly teaches a distinct judgement for the believers only, spoken of in the Scriptures as the "judgement seat of Christ" where believer's works shall be judged and rewards given. 2 Cor. 5:10; 1 Cor 3:11-15; Rev. 20:4-6.

This judgement is the judgement of the unjust, and where all those that does wickedly are judged according to their wrongful deeds on this earth. Satan himself being cast in first. Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:7-15; 21:8.
